A partnership between the United States and Albania may provide hope for Canadians who are looking for alternatives to medicinal cannabis. The U.S. may soon be importing a strain of Albanian cannabidiol, made from a rare cannabis strain called “Ruderalis.” This strain has some of the lowest levels of THC of any strain, while possessing a shockingly high CBD content.
Cannabis Ruderalis grows throughout Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Russia uncultivated.
According to Tony Cohen, spokesperson for Community Works Ontario, stated: “This new resource from Europe could be great for our community relief programmes. It’s miraculous how a country so small and so far away could have such a positive effect on so many of us over here.”
Cohen further commented that he has high hopes that the partnership between the U.S. and Albania will provide the push Canada needs to help their citizens who are living with debilitating conditions that CBD hemp oils could help.
